how to import zip code data(table) into the database

Hi i want to know how to import the zip code database through phpmyadmin.What is the procedure to add zip code and the related informations into the module, is it through the admin panel or we can import all the data, because i am having over 50000 stores to be named and searched by the user
The best way to import data
The best way to import data is with the phpMyAdmin module included with the app using a Mysql file or a CSV file. The fields that are absolutely required are country, name, and a category. Everything else is optional. You can select the order in which the fields appear in yuor import file when you go to the import section in phpMyAdmin. There are lots and lots of tutorials on how to use phpMyAdmin to import things on google. Also if you have 50000 stores it is CRITICAL that you do a test run on 50-100 stores first to make sure your import file is working correctly. It will save you tons of headaches later. Also note that there is about a 15000 hit limit on the google/yahoo geocoders so it could take several days before all of your stores can be geocoded. The way it geocodes stores is that when you go to the search page, it will check any stores it doesnt have a lat/lon entry for and attempt to geocode them. So at first it'll attempt to geocode 50000 entries which means the page will probably time out a lot until it gets them all geocoded. In the newer version I have set to be released this month there is a much better geocoding facility in place that allows you to set how many it will attempt to geocode. It's easier to limit it to 20-30 and geocode them over time for some people than it is to take a whack at all 50000 at once. There is also a manual geocoding facility for those that do large imports so that you dont have to use the search page to geocode your database items.
