Hey, this is a fantastic module. I got version 2 working on my localhost site as a test area, but I haven't had the same success with v3. When are you planning to make this version more Drupal-friendly with the install procedure, as I would love to get this up and running on my live site a.s.a.p?

v3 is going to actually be a
v3 is going to actually be a full drupal module and will need to be re-written from scratch. Well not TOTALLY, but it will be a lot of copy/pasting and renaming functions to accomodate the way drupal handles forms, creates blocks, etc. This should be available sometime on or around Oct 2008. It might even be available sooner if I happen to get a commercial project that requires it sooner than that. But otherwise it gets done on weekends ;)

That is such good news. Its sounds like yours is going to be the best in town. I eagerly anticipate any news. Just one more thing though. To increase the versatility, I would be using the module to display local dojos (martial arts training areas) within a region, so it could be an idea to allow the user to change it from being a store locator to locate anything in particular. Maybe, this could be part of theming. I know it's a little cheeky! ;) Thanks for your reply btw

Pretty much everything will be renamable/aliasable. I dont think there is any instance where someone would want their locator titled: phpGoogleStoreLocator anyways.
